Terrell Experienced Beckman readers will recognize that Johnny continues to get closer and closer to his readers by precisely identifying who they are and what they feel. In this latest fictional installment Johnny Beckman departs from his "Tropical" series characters with the introduction of a fellow very much like many midlife mainstream American males, enabled by an accumulation of some life's successes to reflect on inevitable failures, but unlike most of us he deliberately changes negative directions with a fundamental change in setting, which propels him into an irresistible intrigue of adventure, fueled by the romance of sailing and exotic women. Do not miss this treasure!

Bullard When we worked together in TV, John Beckman was a pilot, amateur radio operator, and a fellow motorcycle enthusiast. Now I discover my old friend has written several books. His latest is called "September Song." And here I discovered his vast knowledge of boats. However, "Song" is really not a book on boating. You might consider the boat in the story an added character in this tale of a wealthy man who, due to problems he can't resolve, seeks escape by giving up a life of plenty and walking blindly into an adventurous new existence. Nice easy, entertaining read, good story. Recommended.Aubrey Bullard(SENT FROM IPAD AIR)
