Rich spent his teenage years in the MC and decided to become a soldier. The MC sent him to the military for training; he made it through BUDS and onto the elite group of satellites. One or two satellites travel with the SEALS but have different objectives and missions. They work alone with little support from the SEAL team. Saving a village of women and children earned him a medal of valor. Because of his age he was awarded the medal by the President at a ceremony in the White House. It was then he asked his MC President and VP to retire and come home. With his new brothers and sister’s adoption being final he wants to be near them. He was relieved when they expected him back in the MC taking over the second spot in Security on his release from duty. Rich does everything with his roommate/Brother Patches, including bedding women. Patches loves Rich's family as if they are his own. He helps take care of the Little Brothers and sister daily ensuring the kids are taken care of in a manner they deserve after being treated so badly before the adoptions. Patches lost his family when he was young; he makes sure his new family feels the love he never did growing up. With the two Brothers doing everything from homework to skiing, the siblings form a bond that runs deep and true. They all fit together as if they are blood. At work Rich is challenged because of his age. He's had to prove himself before the older Security personnel and MC soldiers took him seriously and followed his orders. Even after two years he still has Brothers testing his patience. When his club buys a woman from the rival Outlaw’s he finds work is not the only challenge he has to face. Falling for an abused woman and being dominant by nature is not an obstacle he's confident he can overcome. Her eerie dreams pose problems and save lives. She puts her life and their love on the line for the men she loves.

Ann Marie has written a book that is sweet, cuddly and cute but at the same time is full of rapes, beatings, kidnappings and with a body count so crazy huge it would have made national headlines. It’s kind of a surreal bizarre feeling, all the laughing and smiling going on while the bad guys get mowed down like targets at a county fair shooting game when the Navy Seals come to play.As if the OTT crazy smart members, wives, and children of the MC weren’t enough in the first two books, MC: Knight and MC: Laponte, this one adds in some paranormal aspects, mainly the fact the Tess, the heroine, has visions of what’s going to happen in the future. Truly, my BS meter hit the extreme limits in the last book, so I just decided to go along with it and enjoy the ride, taking things as they came. Which is good since there was lots of crazy, OTT, would never happen in this universe type stuff going on.Tess is found at a biker rally, literally up for sale after being taken by The Outlaws and used for years as a sex slave. The MC buys her to gain her freedom after seeing her being abused. She latches on to Rich, Danny’s (from MC: Laponte) son, the Navy Seal war hero who’s home for good now. She explains to Rich that she dreamed of him and Patches, and that Ally (Rich’s sister) told her through her late Grandmother that they would give her “some of their strong”. Since she had names and phrases right, Rich just goes along with it as does Patches and everyone else in the MC so they take her straight home. This only caused a little eye rolling on my part.Tess’ story is horrific. Kept hidden away as a child because of her “evil” dreams, taken as a sex slave at the age of 16 after watching her family killed or sold into slavery, she has no idea how to function. I found the whole not knowing how to do certain things seriously hard to believe considering her age at the time she was taken, but again, going with the flow here, I just moved on. Rich, Patches, the women of the MC, and the world’s smartest kids quickly form a plan to sort her out.I really liked Rich. He was hot, sweet, caring, slightly dominant and tough as nails. His main focus became Tess and Patches and what was best for them as a whole. A member of the MC’s security force and with every outlaw MC after them, making Tess a priority is tough but he handles it. The good news is that in situations the MC is dealing with, Tess’ prophetic visions come in handy.Patches seemed too self-obsessed at times and not always a valuable contribution to the relationship. There are times it felt like maybe this should have been a two person relationship instead of a ménage. There were things I loved about Patches, but when he screwed up, he did it in a big way. It’s good he was around the seemingly perfect people of the MC, because they definitely forgave and forgot quicker than I would have.As with all the books in this series, there is action and grit galore resulting in truckloads of bodies. I am still slightly enamored of the entire crew, no matter how outlandish and ridiculous the plot gets. The writing has improved since the first book but there is still the tendency to describe scenes in a way that tells instead of shows and this gets annoying. The plot tends to meander and with so much happening it seems to have everything but the kitchen sink thrown in. What I know is I’m getting strangely addicted to this series and I think it may go in my guilty pleasure pile.

This time it involves Danny's son from his ex, Rich and his brother and partner, Patches or Devon is his real name. The Club is on a run when they come across a woman in Shackles. Of course Kate being all about women's rights gets the woman freed (of course for a price) the woman immediately bonds to Rich as does he. He only hopes that Patches will feel the same way because they do everything together including bed women.Tess is treated worse than dirt. She was taken from a family that treated her just as bad because they were afraid of her. The Outlaws are a bad group of gangsters. They chain her up use and abuse her she is a slave and treated like a dog.. When she is found by Kate it is because she is being readied to be sold. One of the idiots has out in public washing her with a hose. The story is about Tess and her "visions" she has. She is an angel she saves many a life with these visions.Of the books I believe this to be the pivotal book. It begins to the the story up definitely not into a pretty bow but into a knot of family that sticks together through thick and thin.L Ann Marie has delivered a very impressive series. Can't wait to see how it finished.

Completely un expected twist to any MC series I've read By Marilyn This was such a different read, the psychic twist made for keeping me interested in what would happen next. The marriage situation was unusual. But they were happy together, so it was all good in the end!
