Spoiler alert for those who don't want to know what the book is actually about.This one starts with Ben Hood and his boss Rodney Reid in a court of Law in reference to a case from several years ago when he was a Detective. Of course he's exonerated and the families hoping to sue are out of luck.On his way out a lawyer named Patricia Pepper stops Ben. She has a client who she says wants his services on Hindmarsh Island. Ben isn't interested. He's thinking of taking a holiday. Pepper tells him its about aboriginals and secrets.Once home Ben is attacked by two men. After taking down of them out the other tells him not to go to Hindmarsh Island. To let things alone.Of course now Ben will be on the way to Hindmarsh Island. A place with secrets.So begins another great Ben Hood read.This one has Ben, Janet Slade, her daughter Christine, a dead man named Peter Dan, Slades ex husband Geoffrey Hinds, the house he wants, a cave on the grounds full of skeletons, an aboriginal woman named Petra, her dog Billy, Petra's secrets, a shark expert, an assasin, murder, a fire, attempted murder and Ben Hood on the trail of secrets, murder and revenge.Five Stars.

Another Ben Hood thrillers By Bernice Fishstein Drew Lindsay writes these wonderful books about Ben Hood, an ex-police detective from Australia, who is now working for a private protection company--he is so cool, as he solves these mysteries, and HE COOKS! I definitely recommend all 22 books in this series.Nanny 1

Some Secrets Never Fade By Kindle Customer This latest thriller by Drew Lindsay takes Ben Hood back to the early style of the series, back when Ben was lower profile and dealing with more mundane those no less dangerous scenarios. Not literally, as the story follows shortly on the conclusion of the equally brilliant "Kill Them", but the style harkens back to that style.This is a great story and weaves modern day suspense and mayhem in with fascinating cultural references and tragic stories from Australia's past. Mr. Lindsay is a past master of leaving clues on the table for the "obvious" plot twists while slipping in with devastating revelations in the final act, and this book is no exception. This is the kind of book you will read in one sitting, think about for a week, and then go back to reread again. Bravo, Mr. Lindsay.
