It allowed me to have a deeper understanding of this tragic and complicated social issue. I highly recommend it.... especially for parents of young children.
1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. I enjoyed Mr Alpert's first book very much By fred lamon I enjoyed Mr Alpert's first book very much. It kept my attention and even though it was obvious what the outcome would be, it held my attention and made me eager to read the final outcome. My one criticism would be Mr Alpert's use of the English language. At times I found his choice of words to be a little pedantic, but overall Mr Alpert keeps the reader engrossed to find out the final disposition of what is a serious problem in American society.

Thought Provoking By Michelle Runaway is an thought provoking look at a chain of events that destroyed the lives of three people, the two victims and a teenage boy. We define crime by good and evil, the victims are good and the killer is evil. This book blurs that distinction. The characters are easy to relate to, they are neighbors you have known throughout your life. This tragic event could have been altered by a change of the unrelated decisions made by everyone involved. The story flows well and leaves you questioning at the end what can be done to prevent s similar event from happening again.
