Not practical for the every-day person who struggles just to set a little extra food aside for the future. They did well, but had all the right equipment and long range plans....
3 of 4 people found the following review helpful. SO EASY TO GET HOOKED By Comingstorm I have been a fan of Jerrys for quite some time. Started reading his work long before they became available on Amazon. To date I have read 79 of his works. Jerry is a prepper and his stories reflect his broad range of knowledge and capabilities. If you become a fan of Jerry D Young, as I have, you realize that planning is invaluable, foresight is crucial and reality bites!All of Jerrys works are entertaining, educational and easy reading. His main characters are varied, well developed and believable. The kind of people we would say "wish I knew him". No four letter words. No gratuitous sex (Though there is love). And if someone deserves to die...well...I just can't put his books down and always eagerly await his next offering. Also, where else can you get a few hours of very entertaining reading for such a cheap price? Granted there are a few grammatical errors. So what! Easily overlooked. Don't really know why but one of works really stayed with me..."Ware Ye". Hope he keeps them coming cause I'll be buying.Do yourself a favor. Became a Jerry D Young fan. It's so easy to do.

Greenwald Save up your money, invest in preps and just to hedge against a failure in societal failure, build to own a few quadraplex's: ready for off grid living with wood stoves, individual septic, wells and with basement owners unit bunkers, which make it a 5 plex, but whose counting really? Oh yes, own several in different cities.Great idea, even if the book is far more about Scavenging the cityside and not really so much about how to generate passive income through property rentals. At least it's there.There is love, there is adventure, there is all that we can expect from Mr. Young.This is my favorite of his works, I've read it a few times and it never fails to entertain as does most of his books.
