3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. Great Read! By jennifer schultheis Dangerous Flirt is book two in the Layton series and will definitely keep you captivated. As much as I loved the first book, Dangerous Kiss, I will admit to loving this book a tad bit more. Hank and Beth have an intense attraction toward each other, which has been simmering for years. Only, it gets to a point where they realize they can’t hide it anymore, especially with danger on the horizon. Avery Flynn really hit a home run with this book. Readers get page turning suspense, exciting characters, and a seductive storyline which just happens to feature the best friend and older brother trope, which is always a plus for me. I have a feeling I will be giving this book a re-read real soon!

Beth hiding behind her self-imposed walls, in order to not get hurt again by someone leaving her. Hank thinking lust is all there is to his attraction to Beth. They both soon find out you can’t always get what you want, but sometimes fate gives you what you need instead. Great Story, great characters, steamy love scenes and quite a few chuckles, you will not be disappointed in this story. Avery always makes you feel as if you are a part of the story. Now I am off to read book three in the series. Happy Reading!!!!!

I love the fact that each book in the Layton series can be read as a stand alone, or in the order they were written, without the reader having to worry about getting confused because they missed important information. Avery Flynn did an amazing job at making her readers feel a ton of different emotions throughout the entire novel. I honestly expected this novel would be solely romance, but I quickly proven wrong once I began to make my way through the novel. Although there was a large romance aspect, which I loved, there was also a high mystery and suspense aspect within the story, which kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time! I couldn’t put this book down, no matter how hard I tried. I couldn’t believe how sexy this novel was, while at the same time, I was scared for Beth and Hank’s safety. Avery Flynn throws her readers a major plot twist, that I never saw coming! This added to the suspense factor majorly and just made me become even more addicted to Dangerous Flirt. Before I begin talking about the characters within this novel, I’d like to know where I could get myself a Hank Layton? The relationship between Beth and Hank was extremely sexy. I loved the fact that they had known each other for the majority of their lives, and I felt as though that aspect made their relationship so much more raw and intense. There was this constant feeling of desire between the two; I couldn’t wait for them to finally admit they were meant for one another! I really enjoy the fact that Beth is a strong willed woman, who has dealt with a lot of tragedy in her life, making her stronger when it comes time to fight for her life, and the one she has loved for so long. Beth has a secret she has only told a select few people, and fears Hank will not want to be with her when he finds out what she has been hiding from not only him, but also her best friend (Hanks sister). I felt this secret made her so much more relatable to the reader. Now onto Hank; as I clearly stated before, I loved his character. I really like the fact that Avery Flynn writes her male leads as alpha males, who are strong minded and determined. Another aspect of Hank that I really liked was the fact that although he is a good looking, charming man, he also remains a gentle man, showing Avery Flynn’s male and female readers that a man who treats his love interest right, will always come out on top. I definitely give this novel 5 stars and recommend it to anyone who enjoys a steamy romance novel mixed with a bit of danger. I absolutely cannot wait to read the third novel in the Layton series!
