A fun, humorous romance...with ghosts! Abby Reed believes in faery tales, and ghosts, but she doesn’t believe in love. She lost her soulmate when her fiancé died while deployed in Afghanistan, but she still has her music, her crazy spectre-filled town, and her pen-pal-slash-best-friend, Mike Stone. It's a good life and she's happy, but when handsome Mike arrives in Banshee Creek after his last tour of duty in Afghanistan, Abby starts to have doubts, about music, ghosts and, most importantly...love.
Like a good soldier, Mike Stone follows the rules, and Rule #1 is: Don't Fall For Your Buddy's Fiancée. His relationship with Abby has been strictly platonic, and will remain that way, if he has anything to say about it. But when he arrives in Banshee Creek, a town where the impossible is an everyday occurrence, he'll find out that sometimes rules are meant to be broken.

Review "A hauntingly realistic romance...Halfway through the book and I cannot stop laughing." Blogging With M. Brennan "I was three percent into this book when I knew I was going to really like it...I want to read more about this sleepy little Virginia town trying to get recognized for being the most haunted town. Recommended." Night Owl Book Reviews "Overall, great read for anyone who likes romance mixed with science fiction and the paranormal." Beautyful World Blog "I love the story that is being told here and I love the writing. It had the right amount of laughs and panty-melting sexy time that I just can't even deal. From the Author Must Love Ghosts is the first book of the Banshee Creek series. It's a standalone with no cliffhangers. I hope you enjoy reading it. The newest book in the series, My Ghostly Valentine, is currently on sale (limited time!) for $.99. Snatch it up while it's cheap! The Banshee Creek series is a light and sexy paranormal romantic comedy series set in a quirky haunted town. Warning: There's ghostly hijinks, cryptic sightings and plenty of hunted house sexiness. Proceed at your own risk.

From the Inside Flap A tall girl was locking the door. She was slender with medium-length brown hair, styled to curl at the ends in an old-fashioned way. He wasn't looking at her hair though. He was looking at her costume, a skin-tight black leather cat suit that outlined every single curve. His fists clenched and he swallowed hard. He tried to walk towards the house, but his feet wouldn't move. He couldn't bring himself to approach her. He'd faced enemy fire, ambushes, and IEDs. He'd trained himself to overcome his fears. He'd walked through nightmares and survived. But he couldn't bring himself to face this girl. Time to retreat and regroup. He'd continue on his way to Arlington and figure out a different way to make his delivery. Maybe he could hire a courier, or a parcel delivery service. A group of costumed partygoers blocked his way as he turned to walk away. He tried to push his way through what appeared to be a werewolf punk rock band, but had to swerve to avoid the fur-bedecked subwoofers. "Mike?" The throaty, sexy voice was unmistakable. "Is that you?" There was no fighting the siren appeal of that voice. He sighed in resignation and turned. The girl ran down the steps of her house and her smile was as enthralling as her voice. Mike forced himself to smile back as he greeted the girl he'd loved for the past five years. Abby Reed. Singer, songwriter, enchantress. And his dead friend's fiancée.

I received the book from Library Thing to read and review. I wanted to read it because I find most paranormal books interesting, and many humorous to boot. I guess this one is just too much for me. I found it very difficult to get into the book. The writing, at east at the start, seemed rather scattered making it difficult for me to follow easily. Once I got into the book, it was okay, just not as good as some of the others I have read. I finally decided that I just do not like the style of this author and some of the quirky things she put into the story. I prefer things not to jump around so much and to understand what is going on as well as to stay more grounded. The story line was interesting. Mike Stone returns to the town where his military buddy, who was killed while deployed, lived to give something to his friend’s fiancée, Abby Reed. Since Cole’s death, Abby has trudged on with her music, her crazy town and her friendship with Mike. The one glitch in all this is that Mike feels more strongly about Abby, but is not sure how or whether he can make a play for his best friend’s girlfriend. Nevertheless, things change when he arrives in Banshee Creek, VA. The town is strange and weird at the same time, with lots of paranormal and legends to give it some interesting twists and turns. However, I am probably just too grounded in reality to buy into a lot of the stuff in the book. I enjoyed the interplay between Abby and Mike, but not a lot of the rest. I think this book will appeal to a younger person, who enjoys reading this quirky stuff.

Fun, Sweet, & Sexy By Erin G Must Love Ghosts is a fun, sweet, and sexy story about love, loss, healing, and of course, the things that go bump in the night. Abby Reed is a singer, songwriter, and paranormal enthusiast. That's not too hard to imagine since she lives in the most haunted town in the country. She shared a love of the paranormal with her fiancé, who was killed in Afghanistan. Since she lost Cole, she's just been going through the motions. The only thing she's really found any joy in has been her chats with her pen-pal and best friend, Mike Stone.Mike Stone has recently arrived in Virginia. Now finished with various deployments overseas, he has a new assignment at the Pentagon and a promise he made to his best friend Cole, to fulfill in Banshee Creek. When he shows up on Abby's doorstep things between these two friends start to change. Will Mike ever be able to admit to Abby that she's the only woman he's ever loved? Will Abby be able to prove to Mike that she has moved on from Cole? Will they find evidence that the Mothman actually exists?!?Ani Gonzalez has created interesting and multi-dimensional characters. Abby is strong, loving, and quirky. She suffered immense loss and has tried her best to move forward. Losing herself in her music, town activities, and in her friendship with Mike to deal with her grief. When Mike arrives she dives headfirst, she opens herself up to whatever happens next.Mike is fiercely loyal, passionate, and conflicted. He wanted to explore a relationship with Abby but struggled with his guilt over the situation.Abby and Mike alone are wonderful characters, but together, they are on fire! Their chemistry was palpable and intense. This book was seriously hot!! I loved seeing these two together. The paranormal aspect was a fun and entertaining addition to the story. It gave a unique twist to this romance and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm eager to read more from this series.

By Liberty Ann Ireland Review:Abby and Cole were engaged even though on opposite sides of the world while he was deployed in Afghanistan. When he died, part of Abby died too. Mike, Cole's soldier buddy, had kept an eye on Abby long distance while they got to know one another. It was all strictly platonic and they had a good time and became good friends. When Mike eventually finished his tour, he came to see Abby. Cole had made him promise to deliver some things for him but once Mike actually met Abby, all bets were off. Their chemistry was off the charts and as Abby lived in Banshee Creek, VA a town in the running for the Most Haunted Town in the US, it was no surprise that there were some freaky-deaky goings on. All in all it made for an interesting story.Ms Gonzalez knew her stuff when she wrote this book. I can only imagine all that she had to keep track of. I really liked the characters and the relationship between Mike and Abby. As strange as it was, I liked the personality of the town as well. It was weird without being scary. And her timing was terrific I thought - not too fast or slow where she has to throw it all in at once. Instead it was just right. As a rule I would find a book like this probably a little too far 'out there' for my taste but every once in a while if I get just the right combination of freaky and fun and romance, well I enjoy it immensely, and this was one of those times. Over all I would recommend this book to people who enjoy Paranormal romances with a twist, who are not put off by the unknown, magic or ghosts and that are willing to roll with it. If they can do that they will love this book!Rating: 5 StarsHeat: 3/5 - Blush WorthyI received this book in exchange for my honest and open minded review. No further compensation was received.
