Review Just when you thought it was over, CM Doporto takes us back to PHU and gives us a look at Raven and Lexi's romance from Raven's perspective. I achieved a whole new level of understanding on what drove Raven that touched a part of me very few books touch. Get through the first chapter and there's nothing you'll want more than to get caught up in The Raven's trap all over again. ~ Iris, Rockstar Reviews CM Doporto completely outdid herself on this one. Raven needed this. He needed to tell his story and what an incredible one it was! I was able to feel Raven's pain radiating through the pages and I adore any author that can make me feel this emotional when I'm reading a book. This is one of my favorite books of the year and one of my favorite books period! ~ Heidi Hudson, Momma Says Read Blog
From the Back Cover Fantastic Series! I have read this story from the beginning and fell hard into The Raven's trap. Lexi Thompson and Raven Davenport's love is...truly unstoppable. Books 1-3 are from Lexi's POV, but Doporto now brings you his side, A Different Side. I absolutely loved it. It completed the whole story line. ~ Beth's Blog

University Park series from Ravens POV By Shona Booky Ramblings Lawrence This book can be read as a standalone, I don't know that I would recommend reading it this way though. The idea behind reading the series from Raven's point of view is to garner more sympathy for him, an inside look at what he has experienced and the inner demons that help drag him down... however, I felt as though the information that led to me feeling even a little bit sympathetic to his cause came too little too late. Perhaps I would have warmed to The Raven a little earlier if I had read the original books in the series from Lexi's POV first, at least then I would have had the opportunity to see him through Lexi's rose tinted glasses.Mostly I felt that Ravens ego was bigger than he was. Every female he came in to contact with clearly wanted him.. or at least that's the way he felt, there was a few scenes were I'm pretty certain the female was just being polite, but he assumed she was after more.. The constant referral to the ravens trap really started to grate on me... especially when used in reference to Lexi, the girl he swore he was falling for... treating it like it was some kind of a game... the guy doesn't respect himself let alone the girls he is with, so I'm not sure how I was supposed to respect him. To be honest this guy slept with so many people I'm actually struggling to figure out why/how the girls found him attractive. #ManwhoreI may not have loved The Raven, I may not even have liked him at various points, I did genuinely enjoy the sweeter moments of his relationship with Lexi. There are some points in the book that I felt should have been elaborated on a little more, but since this is a retelling I suppose I cant expect everything that needs to be resolved featured in this version of events, so if I want those I'll need to read from Lexi's POV.Raven and Lexi's story intrigued me enough to keep reading til the end, but if I'm being honest I was happy to put the book down mid chapter and leave it for several hours

A Different Side simply BLEW ME AWAY! I LOVED it and couldn't get enough!Park Hill University's star quarterback, Raven Davenport, seems to have it all on the outside; big talent on the football field, super sexy, and can get any girl he wants. On the inside he's a hot mess, with demons talking in his ear constantly. His first real female challenged comes in the form of good girl Lexi Thompson as she's having none of him except to tutor him to better grades. Raven accepts the challenge she presents, but somewhere along the way, he develops real feelings for her. Will Raven learn to deal with his inner demons so he can prove to Lexi she's the one before he destroys them both?HOLY HELL BATMAN! This book is super intense! CM Doporto did a brilliant job in writing Raven's POV. It took the intensity up several notches seeing into his head. I seriously physically felt the gut wrenching pain when the demons took over Raven's head, and it floored me. The character development was spot on, and the story line is fantastic while flowing perfectly. I found myself on more than one occasion wanting to throat punch Raven, even though his pain was tangible and radiated off my kindle. But I never stopped cheering for him, because he isn't a bad guy, just a tortured soul that makes bad choices when the voices took over. He and Lexi are characters that will stay with me for a very long time to come, and I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Im caught in the Ravens Trap By lainey DS I was lucky enough to get an ARC for A Different Side and I have to say that Raven’s point of view did not disappoint! The University Park Series was a series I have read multiple times and I was definitely caught in the Ravens Trap, I loved Lexi’s strength and independent personality and was thrilled to read their love story.Raven is such a sweet-hearted person who has girls obsessing over him and I loved reading about him falling for Lexi, the struggles he endured and tortured himself over by making wrong choices and always realizing too late. Lexi made Raven want to be a better person and make the right choices whereas Raven let Lexi explore more freedom and to be released from her parents controlling rules and structure. Together they were perfect….. A Raven and a Dove.Ravens point of view had me turning page after page, understanding where some of his decisions came from and what was going on inside his head. I have to say I’m so glad my favorite scenes again played a part in this book.I can see that I will be re-reading this over and over again!! Fantastic book, fantastic series, I’m so glad I have read Ravens point of view. Thank you..
