0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. A Cougar Wants Love Too! By OOSA Online Book Club “Cougar Tales” is a three-book set about a lady named Joi who just wants to be loved. She chooses younger men because they appeal to her more so than men her same age. Will she find happiness? Only time will tell.I read these three novels: “Father & Son,” “The Italian Basketball Player” and “Jamaican Love” in one day as they were relatively short stories. I felt like there could have been more depth in each story. The stories depicted Joi as a woman who knew what she wanted but in the beginning kept losing out. By “Jamaican Love,” I think she finally found what she was looking for. I thought the first story “Father & Son” was a little too short and the ending left me saying, "What!" “The Italian Basketball Player” was abrupt. “Jamaican Love” pretty much pulled it all together. Sometimes you have to kiss some frogs to find a prince. Overall, are three book are okay reads.3.5 stars

The first book is really a short story, and it ends abruptly on a surprise. I wished there had been a few more scenes to explore the consequences or further adventures from this unexpected plot development, because these characters and their situation was the most interesting of the three stories. The second book is an extended short story, taking place in Italy. Only the last book was a fully fleshed out story, charming in its exploration of a touristy cruise love affair. Holloway is a plot-driven writer, and her stories move quickly. If you like to consume romance novels like bon bons, and want to fantasize about international travel, millionaires, and tender love, you'll probably enjoy these Cougar Tales.

In a relationship age isn't anything but a number. If a relationship will succeed it has to have a lot more going for it than same age. I don't want to give much away but as with anything else there are peaks and valleys. I know there were short stories but I do wish we would have learned more about Joni's inner emotions and insight into herself and not only how she felt about the men in her life. I would have liked to know more of why she was a cougar. I enjoyed reading about Joni's travels and enjoying the "finer" things in life. And again without giving too much away everyone loves a happy ending!!!
