By Rabid Reader The premise of this book had such promise but it did not deliver. It was poor written/edited- such as use of the word "stocking" instead of "stalking." The plot made little sense- It takes years for an attorney to gain enough experience to try a murder case and these two lawyers were given a big case when they were inexperienced and new to the firm? On their first day? Unlikely. I also did not like the hero-- he was downright mean to the woman when he was accused of using drugs, and again when he thought she had "outed" him as a drug user. Guess what? He WAS a drug addict. What great boyfriend and law partner material! The fact that the woman in this book still forgave him after all of the verbal and drug abuse astounds me. Won't be reading this author again. Her idea of a hero and mine differ too much.

By megan crisp There are a huge amount of typos, so this book defiantly needs an editor also, there is no breaks in between one day/situation ending and the other beginning, they all flow together, I also noticed a couple inconstancies, and I felt Blair was Adins doormat, who in their right mind gets spoken too by a man the way he did her, and then jumps straight into bed with said man, like oh all is fine ladeedah? No just no, the poor girl had no freaking backbone!!! But considering all those points, the story managed to keep me interested till around 90% where it became a moment of will this book ever finish? Lol... But like I said not a bad book for a buck... Happy reading

I hate leaving a book unfinished, but it was tempting on this one.The storyline was weak, as were the characters. Blair the bookworm, and Aidan the guy who should be in rehab rather than a court room deciding someone else's guilt or innocence. The two were childhood friends, ended up in competition at the same law firm for a permanent job.Their childhood "friendship" took a new turn now that they were more grown up, but Blair-being the practical, sensible, no nonsense kind of gal refused to see what was happening between them and focused on the case they were given.Aiden always cared for Blair, but now he was fast becoming obsessed with her, winning the case and the job at the law firm.This was so predictable, and was so filled with typos, and grammatical mistakes it only made the already boring much more frustrating! Proof reader desperately needed here!!! We should NOT have to pay, even 99 cents, to read mistakes that should have been caught and sorted before publication!This book had so many possibilities, but fell far short of my expectations!!!
