Six year old Rafael Saenz, after being told that his mother had abandoned his family, begins a search for the meaning of love. In the process, Rafael's original sense about love's meaning was slowly dispelled, until he beneficially realized that the world's lessons about love always come through agonizing pain. But he decided that he no longer wanted to learn love's meaning through pain. He asked to learn love's meaning from Love Itself. In so doing, Love answered, and all his experiences--past and present, secular and spiritual--were retranslated until he finally discovered love's true meaning, in part, through his anointed prophetic art.

About the Author Ramon Sanchez's ancestry includes his paternal grandfather, a Sangre Azul (Blue Blood) Spaniard, his paternal grandmother, a Mexican Yaqui-Indian, from Puebla, Mexico. His maternal grandfather was also a Sangre Azul. Ramon was born in a Santa Monica, California barrio and raised in a West Los Angeles barrio. His father, Jose, was a Green Card immigrant, and his mother, Erlinda, was once classified as an undocumented immigrant. Those modest beginnings never foretold the wondrous experiences awaiting him. Depending on one's cultural/religious origin, Ramon could be called a Curandero, a Medicine Man, or a Sage.
