Just as in life, these characters are flawed, and love comes to them at the most in opportune time and from the least expected source. In other words, this book reflects the reality of every day life much more than any romance novel could. But, that's a great thing because you won't be reading an overdone plot or characters that have been pre determined by a corporate marketing department. Dry Love is a look at what real love in the 21st century is like for many people. The plot certainly deals with morality that is far from black and white-- still the reader quickly empathizes with the protagonist. In life we think we would do one thing if caught in a situation, but when confronted with such a situation, we rarely do what we said we would do. The characters in Dry Love are utterly compelling and above all human. I absolutely recommend this book because it's not like anything else out there and it forces you to explore your own "what ifs" as the plot unfolds. Wonderful read!!!

I was afraid it was chick lit but it ended up being a good read. The main character, Sasha, was very complex. I didn't know whether to root for her or be frustrated at her downward spiral. But the story kept me engaged. I don't want to give away the ending but I'm glad the main character didn't continue on her dark path. This book made me analyze a lot of things like love, lust, relationships and so on. Definitely not just a chick lit book. Quite dark at times but very good story overall.

By Annie Barley This is dark story and sad at times but I also laughed out loud a few times.The main character's sarcasm cracked me up at times. It was sad how she became an alcoholic but I liked the ending. Good writing. Hope to read more from this author.
