Investigative journalist Sam Cleave finds himself running from the site of an execution he barely escapes. They have to find the deck before the wrong faction does, but in their midst a traitor lurks to fulfil his own ideals and a series of strange occurrences prove that someone else is using the cards already. By Frequent shopper If you thought this was by Douglas Preston or Lincoln Child (of the excellent Prendergast series) then you got suckered just as was intended by this author. Preston W. Child is a mediocre author who has decided to use trickery as opposed to talent to further his or her career ($$$). It is an intentional misdirection! Actually, I would have rated the book two stars but I don't like being deceived.

The book ended to quickly and did not again make much sense, this was a very disappointing book.
